Wisconsin Dairy Products Association Names Phil Plourd Executive Director

Phil Plourd will serve as the new Executive Director of the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association, a trade group with a 50-plus-year history of advocating for a vital industry in the
nations leading dairy state.

“I’ve had the privilege of working with WDPA and its members over the years, and it’s wild to now have the opportunity to lead the group,” Plourd said. “Every day, WDPA’s members do remarkable work at every link in the dairy supply chain, from farm to fork. I’m honored and excited to help tell their stories and support a bright future for the organization’s diverse coalition of stakeholders.”

Over his career, he has served in a variety of roles at Ever.Ag and its predecessor companies primarily focused on market intelligence. He is the co-host of the acclaimed Dairy Download podcast produced by the International
Dairy Foods Association and the author of the widely read Monday Morning Demand Notes column. Plourd will continue contributing content to Ever.Ag as he steps into the WDPA role.

In addition to representing Wisconsin’s dairy industry, WDPA sponsors the World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Products Contest, an event that recognizes excellence in manufacturing and generates thousands of dollars in scholarship opportunities for college students.

Plourd will begin his tenure on June 1, in time to support the contest and contribute to planning for the 2026 WDPA Symposium and Annual Meeting in Lake Geneva in late July.
